Of ice and internet woes...

 

I know I promised that something new was coming to LG last week but that was before we got bombarded with a nasty winter storm { that's my backyard pond frozen solid in the picture above! } and I couldn't get outside to finish up some photos.

C'mon y'all, this is Texas - we don't DO snow here!

Much less 4 days of it.

Bleh.

 

But the sun came out over the weekend and we finally thawed out. It was perfect picture-taking weather!

And then our internet went out.

For three days.

 

So bear with me please. I'm now behind on correspondence and such, so as soon as I get caught up I will get busy finishing up the photo editing and listings for the new items.

It's the little things

Most of our long-time LG customers know that we usually like to include a little something extra in each package that gets mailed out.  Sometimes we are better at this than others.  :-) 

A few years ago I discovered pink candy corn

( Cupid Corn is it's proper name ) and for Valentines Day orders we included a little bag of these cuties.  I am not a huge candy corn fan, but who can resist PINK?!

 

I think that this was the most popular package goody e.v.e.r. in LG history, trumping the paper dolls and even coupons!

So, I am happy to say that Cupid Corn is returning once again to all packages sent from now through Valentines Day. :)

 

Now after having said that candy corn is not my favorite treat, I AM interested in trying this recipe...

Goodbye January, Hello February!

I can't say that I am sorry to see January go.  It really wasn't the best of months. :(

February brings us closer to spring, and of course Valentines Day is thrown in there as well.  I can't say that it's my favorite holiday because there are a few others that rank higher on my list, but I have to say, it is still fun!

PS ~ I could use some help...

Would some of you mind letting me know ( via comment or email ) if you see a lot of grey in the photos above, or if they seem dark to you?  I thought I had the color correct,  and on both my computers they look really good with white backgrounds. On my Blackberry they are slightly grey in the background, but not too much.  However, two other people let me look at them on their computers and they seem much darker. I know that color varies from screen to screen,  but I'd still like to know what the majority of you are seeing. It's just really bugging me to think that they might look that dark! :)

The weather will.not.cooperate.

I have the new Valentine styles all ready to go, but can not get the photos done in this overcast, misty weather!  Argh.

My goal was to have them up by tomorrow, but it's looking like it could be Saturday.

I think you will like the new items.  They are not V-day specific and can definitely be worn into the spring/summer, but they will certainly look valentine-ish enough for wear to parties,  school or just to keep in the holiday spirit! :)

Also, remember the ever-popular RUBY pinnie???

It was definitely one of my all-time best sellers and soooo many of you have asked for it again, but unfortunately the fabric is OOP.

BUT, I have found one that is similar and it's one of the new styles coming, so get ready for RUBY V2!

I like it a lot and think it will be just as elegant and versatile as the original.

This fabric is also beginning to be hard to find, and I have already taken several orders for it, so I can't guarantee that it will be available for too long.  You just never know with these things...
