Many blog posts have already been written about this fantastic project, so I'll try to keep mine short and sweet. :) If you have NOT heard about it, I encourage you to visit the link above or Julie's blog for all the details.
Here's a little something you don't know about me:
I am a water snob.
Seriously.
I only drink purified bottled water from a cooler in my house. If I do not have access to my own water, I buy bottled water. I never touch tap water unless there is NO other option. But I would drink it if it's all I had.
Some people do not even have the tap water that I consider so icky, much less bottled water. Some people do not have the option to choose what kind of water they want to drink like you and I do. They can not even conceive of being able to make that kind of choice. It would blow their mind away. They just want
CLEAN WATER!
I know that at this time of year there are so many charities to consider giving to with large needs that need to be met. Many of us are on a budget and though we'd love to give to them all, we just can't. But, if you have not yet thought about where you and your family might like to donate to this year, then maybe you could think about this?
Just $10 will get you an entry into a raffle to win a fabulous prize bundle. But more than that, it helps to build a well.
A well for clean water.
To save lives.
It's a win-win situation.
$5,000 will build one. That's 500 $10 donations.
Impossible?
No!
This Christmas let's think about putting our wish lists aside and doing something more meaningful. Involve the whole family. Tell your children about it.
Go visit the Project 320 blog and check out all the goodies to be won! 3 bundles a day featuring items from over 300 donations. Lots of handmade goodies.
Thanks to Julie for making us all aware of this need and to all those involved in putting the whole project together.
