I think that the response I received to yesterday's post was the biggest since I started this blog ~ Yay, thanks a million for your e-mails & feedback, it is SO helpful!! And, for those of you who placed orders, it worked!!! :)
I thought I would go ahead and answer a few of the most popular questions/comments that I received:
1) For some reason, I can only upload one image for each item on the page that is up. That is only temporary. The actual website has multiple images per item, so you will be able to see all aspects of the garment in question. Sorry about that!
2) I am also thinking that the shipping costs will not be displayed until you go to checkout and choose the destination. The suggestion of putting it into the shop policies or general info is a good one and I'll see what I can do!
3) For now, I will still be accepting PayPal only. Most of you do not find that a problem since you can use any major credit card or your bank account for payments. Accepting credit cards directly is expensive due to the merchant fees per transaction, and since that is one of the reasons (the listing/transaction fees) I am hoping to move the bulk of our business from Etsy to the site, taking credit card payments would negate that and result in raising our prices. I'm pretty convinced most of you would rather we stick with PayPal than do that... ;)
I think that's all for now... I will continue to post helpful information as I think of it, or as you request it. I can not tell you how *EXCITED* I am to have received such positive response... makes me feel like I am heading the right direction!! It was a difficult step for me to take, I can tell you that. :0)
Since I have been talking about the garden, I thought I'd share a few photos of some of the things in bloom right now. Don't look too closely at the water around my lily in the pond... It has a greenish tint that seriously needs to go away!! One of these days...
Amy has been playing with scraps again... :0) This dress will join the "new items" list in the LG shop here soon...
And isn't her niece, Ava, cute? A very willing model, I think... ;)
Hope you have a happy weekend! It's rainy here, which means I can't get my new plants in the ground. :( I visited one of my favorite garden shops this week and after having not been there in awhile, I was very inspired to get back in the dirt! It's actually a good stress reliever. :) I need to get our pond in shape too, but that is going to require more time than what I have at the moment. Maybe I can tackle it before it really starts to get hot though. I used to be a much more avid gardener than I am now. I really miss it and am trying to get back into it a bit. Right now is the best time here in Texas, so if I'm not careful, I will miss out on it completely this year!
I am still hard at work on getting the shop in order, so bear with me! Many of you are emailing asking if we are closing and the answer is NO! :) I'm just trying to get completely organized and am finishing up a big project that needs more of my time than I can give to it when the shop is open. But rest assured, we are definitely not going away anytime soon!
I'll close with this adorable photo from Sarah of her sweet daughter, Aurora, in our Lizzy pinnie. Thanks for sharing!!
