Confessions

Okay, so I am pretty sure I had better not step foot in another Target store again for a loooooong time.  I might get kicked out of the house if I do.

5 stores and more money than you'll get me to admit to, I am now the proud owner of just about every Liberty of London item I wanted and then some.

( It's taking a lot for me to show my materialistic weakness' here, btw... )

If I had stopped with just those items, I wouldn't feel so guilty! But oh, there's more... Lots more. 

It's embarrassing actually.

Anyway, I hope you made it to your local store in time to get what you wanted 'cause it's pretty much all sold out! Or at least here it is. Not so much the clothing, but the housewares. I'm not sure Target was prepared for this!

Oh, and you should see what some of this stuff is already going for on Ebay!!

I know I promised the tutorial today for the hair clips, but when I was re-reading over it before posting, I realized that a few photos were missing. I am not sure if I forgot to take them ( probably ) or accidentally deleted them, but they are some of the more helpful ones for the attaching of the flower to the clip. So I just need to gather my supplies again, start a new clip and snap the shots that are missing. Sorry about that!! This is only my second craft tutorial, so it's still a learning process for me! I will try to do that this afternoon or tomorrow morning and get it posted ASAP.

Another reason Target makes me happy

As if I needed another one. They have my loyalty as a lifetime customer as it is. It is a good thing I am not interested in working there. I'd spend every dime I make, before it's made and still end up owing them money. It's a dangerous place to be. And I have been really good about staying away lately UNTIL this happened:

It hit stores yesterday.

Yes, today is Monday and I have a TON of work to do. I so have no business going shopping, but I am. I can't help it.

Several things that I want are already sold out online, so I HAVE to go today!

Right???

I heart Liberty of London big time. I've always had a fetish for their patterns. I have bought their fabrics for years ( notice I've never put any of that up for sale, LOL! ). Love the store, love the home decor, love the clothing. I just love it. What else can I say?

But I'm beginning to hate Target because they are just too darn tempting.

That this blog turned a year old this week?

Wow! Where does the time go???

My little sister also turned 16 this week. Yikes! I feel old. 

Well, older than I already feel. ;)

I have really enjoyed having the blog and to all of you who take the time to read it, I can't thank you enough.  The statistics of regular visitors grows on a monthly basis which is awesome and I have really enjoyed the opportunity that this has given me to connect with you more. It's been fun! :0)

So thank you for making the LG blog a successful one so far and hopefully it will just get better and better as this next year rolls along!

The styles you see below are all ones that there is only enough fabric left to make one more of ( there are a few more that are not shown ). Some can be made up to a size 4 or 5, but for most a size 3T is the biggest we can do. They have been reduced to $15. These are still made to order and not ready-to-ship, so allow approx 7 business days for shipment.  Monogramming is available on all of them and with the sale prices, now would be a good time to add that little extra! :)

I know most of these pinnies have been around for awhile and many of you already have them, but feel free to share the sale info with your friends! Whatever doesn't sell within a week will be turned into fabric remnants and you'll then have a chance to purchase those.

So much for our beautiful sunny weather... It's nasty & rainy here again, which is what I get for rubbing it in! ;)

I am getting closer and closer to having those new items ready, but in the meantime, have a little more cleaning out to do.  I have approx 8 pinafore styles that I only have enough fabric for ONE left. Those will be available on the website soon for $15.  For now, I have a couple of fabric remnants to get rid of.  Leave a comment or email me if interested.

A breath of fresh air...

Not to make you jealous in case you are still digging your way out of snow, but the weather here has been simply awesome this week  ~ 60's and sunny with blue skies. The neighbors are all out beginning their yard work, the park around the corner is bustling with families playing, little league t-ball and soccer practice and people walking their dogs - it just feels good to be outside in the sun. I even broke out the flip-flops yesterday to run to the post office now that my feet don't feel so cold! And though it might still be a little early to think about no more cold days, I just can't help having my mind on spring!

For some reason, I really, really, really love shopping at this time of the year.  I could easily spend a fortune at all my favorite stores and websites.  I have to put blinders on my eyes when I go into Target these days... I so get into BIG trouble there.

FYI - there are only a few of this style left!  Someone recently ordered one with a monogram and the color Julie picked was perfect! Wish I would have had time to get a few pics before it was mailed off...:(  I think it is one of my favorite monogrammed pinafores so far!
