Sorry for the absence the last few days... I had a computer complication.  :) There is so much to mention and not enough time to fit it into one post! Hopefully I can resume more regular postings next week, but I'll just keep this one simple for the weekend.

I had planned on doing a giveaway this week, but obviously it didn't happen!  I think I'll save it for next week since I'm not sure I will be able to monitor it this weekend.

Hello December!

Happy Tuesday & Happy December!

The new holiday items are on the website finally!!! 

It is ALL ready to ship except for the SNOW turtleneck which will ship within 48 hours. I know I am a little late in getting these out, but it was a busy fall and actually, if you think about it, last year I had a 7-10 business day wait time, so even though I had holiday up sooner, things were still shipping about this time. :)

Because it is ready to ship there is a very limited amount of everything available. If you see it and you like it, I suggest you grab it!  I will consider custom orders for the SNOW set { the pieces are sold separately, by the way! } once it sells out, and may continue to carry it through January just because it is not specifically holiday but just a cute winter print. I'll try to get better pics of that one, too... Not sure what's going on with these,  but I have taken them twice already and just can't get 'em right!  Argh.

I am taking a break for the rest of the week/weekend to spend time with family, but I wanted to take a moment & express my thankfulness here for YOU, without whom Lassie Girl would not exist!

Merry Scrappy Skirt

All holiday 2009 items will be available here in a few days,  but I wanted to go ahead and get this up because it will be made to order ( approx 5-7 day wait ) as opposed to everything else, which is ready to ship. 

Amy,  who is the creator of our super-cute scrappy skirt,  gave me this sample over the weekend and it is SO adorable ~ Even more so in person!  As with the original style, it is extremely versatile.  Each of the fabrics is a fun holiday print, and I HAVE to mention my favorite one...

Okay, that's it for today friends!  I need to finish up our Thanksgiving table centerpieces and tomorrow the cooking begins!  If any of you are expert cheesecake makers, do you have any tips to prevent "sinking" in the middle??  I just can't quite keep it from happening with this particular recipe I am using and am not sure what the problem is... Last time I made it, it was better, but not great.  And, it causes the chocolate ganache that covers the cake to sink a bit as well. You don't really notice it,  but it bugs me to DEATH!!

By the way, if I am a little slow on email replies and order confirmations it is because I do have houseguests right now and have not been on the computer as much this week. :)

Yes, I confess...

I have been listening to Christmas music.  I resisted as long as I could,  but temptation overcame me.  :)  I have lots of Christmas stations on Pandora, scores of CD's and downloaded music, so I need more time than just from Thanksgiving through Christmas day to listen...

I have also been adding to my collection of Christmas decor.  I will just state it now: It's an addiction of mine.  A serious one.

We have boxes and boxes and boxes of decorations and every year more is added.  I've been pretty good so far this year,  but a trip to Anthropologie over the weekend was not a good thing.

I for sure did not buy all I wanted to, but definitely was not walking away without this:

I am always on the hunt for good snow and this is just gorgeous!  And besides, the packaging can be used in with the decor, so I got two things in one! ;)

I have not actually started decorating yet,  but it's on my mind obviously!! I had  planned on beginning this week partly because it takes so long to get it all up and and partly because we have family coming in this weekend for Thanksgiving, but I am not sure we're going to be able to make it happen.  I have to finish putting together the table centerpieces for T-day dinner first and that's been slow-going.  Who knows though...
